Level before course: A1-. You have completed Beginner 1 or a similar course.
Level after course: A1

If you have some basic knowledge of Dutch grammar and vocabulary, then we welcome you into our Beginner 2 course. In this course we build the fundamental language skills for you to learn, understand and actively use the language.

You will expand your knowledge of Dutch grammar and vocabulary furthermore. We pay attention to the use of the adjective, the word ER, personal pronouns, reference words, syntax, the use of conjunctions in main and sub clauses and the past tense Perfectum. The topics we cover are shopping, transport and free time. Through examples and exercises you will learn how to communicate in shops and cafes/restaurants as well as how to obtain and understand information whilst travelling. You will be able to have a conversation with Dutch friends and relatives regarding your hobbies and other things you like to do in your free time. All of our lessons are dynamic, interesting, motivating and never boring! Due to small group sizes we always allow time for questions and individual feedback. Speaking, listening, writing and reading all get equal attention. A sufficient level of English is required in the Beginner 1+2 levels.
