Level before course: A2+. You have completed Intermediate 1, or a similar course.
Level after course: B1

Content: the focus of this Intermediate course at ABC Dutch is on speaking, expanding vocabulary and the use of the language in context. You will work in groups and pairs, give presentations and have discussions. As a result, you will actively ’put into practice’ what you have already learned in class. The lessons include: vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing, listening, speaking and pronunciation. Consequently you will be able to use the language communicatively and academically. Classes are always fun & energetic and a lot of feedback is given to each individual student. Topics include Society, Politics, Art and Energy. After this course, the student will have reached level B1 and can independently get by in all situations.

NOTE: Intermediate 2 covers the second half of the book De Sprong. Intermediate 2 is split into 2 parts: A (Thema 5+6) & B (Thema 7+8), which can be followed in random order. In general, it takes two courses (A + B) to complete level Intermediate 2.
