Level before course: A1. You have completed Beginner 2 or a similar course.
Level after course: A2-

If you already have knowledge of basic Dutch grammar and vocabulary and you are able to have simple conversations in Dutch, also in the past tense Perfectum, you are more than welcome to join our Pre-Intermediate 1 course.

By following this course, you will gain much more confidence in using Dutch in daily life. During the lessons, most instructions are in Dutch and our energetic language games and conversation exercises with other students will significantly increase your vocabulary and speaking skills. Topics include living environment, health and appearance/character. You will learn to describe your house and neighbourhood, to express yourself at the doctor’s, to describe yourself and others extensively and also to communicate in both past tenses.

We pay attention to demonstrative pronouns (this/that), the use of the word ER, giving instructions, main and sub clauses, separable verbs, the past tense Imperfectum and reflexive verbs. We also continue to revise everything that has been learned so far, to make sure that you remember everything! Each lesson offers a pleasant variety between reading, listening, writing, speaking, instruction, exercises and games. This always makes our lessons enjoyable and dynamic! Our small groups make it comfortable to ask questions and receive personal attention from the teacher.
